Overview
We’re excited to onboard your products into US Foods Direct, an ecommerce experience hosted by leading food service Distributor US Foods. The products on US Foods Direct are available for purchase by their 350k+ customers across the country spanning industries like healthcare, college and university, hospitality, and more! These customers have strict requirements for data quality and Mable’s goal is to set you up for success.
US Foods has a standard set of required product data. Ensuring that this data is complete is important in getting you set up as quickly as possible.
Data upload: Review and upload your product data
As part of the product onboarding process, Mable will upload data for each of your SKUs based on what is entered in the Mable seller portal.
If you find any inaccuracies, please email us at support@meetmable.com to expedite your data changes.
Step 1: Review your seller portal for missing data
Your seller portal will alert you to any data your products may be missing. Fill in the missing data.
Step 2: Download your US Foods data CSV
You’ll find a download link in the seller portal after you've acknowledged the US Foods SLA. This CSV contains the data we expect to send to US Foods.
Step 3: Review the CSV fields
This CSV is meant to give you a quick overview of all of your products, for you to check one final time for accuracy. Please find below an explanation of each field in the US Foods CSV. Note that not all of the below fields are currently reflected in the Mable Seller portal.
- Excluded from US Foods Upload
- If there are items in your catalog you’d like to withhold from the US Foods program, please let us know and we’ll mark them as such.
- This field is not yet reflected in the Mable Seller Portal experience
- Packaging level:
- Each: This is a required packaging level to send to US Foods
- The following packaging levels are included in the CSV for review if you have entered information for the level, but you can let us know if you do not wish to sell one or more of them to US Foods:
- Case
- MasterCase
- Pallet
- Item Name:
- This is the name of your product
- Price (general marketplace)
- This is the price of your packaging level as seen by regular buyers on the marketplace
- Price (Adjusted Base Wholesale Price)
- If you’ve entered in an adjusted cost for your items, that will be reflected here
- GTIN
- This is the GTIN for your line item (each, case, master case, pallet)
- Each GTIN must be unique. Duplicate GTINs across products or packaging levels will result in an error
- Width
- This is the width of your line item (each, case, master case, pallet)
- Width Unit
- This is the unit used to measure your line item
- Height
- This is the height of your line item (each, case, master case, pallet)
- Height Unit
- This is the unit used to measure your line item
- Depth
- This is the height of your line item (each, case, master case, pallet)
- Depth Unit
- This is the unit used to measure your line item
- Weight (Gross Weight)
- This is the gross weight of your line item (including packaging weight)
- Gross Weight must be greater than or equal to net content
- Weight (Gross Weight) Unit
- This is the unit used to measure your line item
- Gross Weight must be greater than or equal to net content
- Unit Size (Net Content)
- This only applies to each line item
- This is the net content of your each item
- Unit Size (Net Content) Unit
- This is the unit used to measure your line item
- Case size
- This only applies to case or master case line items
- This is the number of items in a case
- Shelf life
- This is the shelf life of your product as reflected in the seller portal
- Country of Origin
- This field indicates the country where your product was manufactured or grown
- This is a 2-character ISO 3166 international standard code
- Common examples: US (United States), CA (Canada), MX (Mexico)
- Is Shipper
- This field indicates whether your line item is a shipper or promotional display
- This field is not yet reflected in the Mable Seller Portal experience
- Is Variety Pack
- This field indicates whether your line item is a variety pack
- This field is not yet reflected in the Mable Seller Portal experience
- Brand SKU
- This field indicates your internal SKU used for the line item
Step 4: Email us at support@meetmable.com to make changes
Email us at support@meetmable.com to work through updates and/or questions. Please list the fields you’d like to update in your email and note what their new values should be.
- We’ll update your data for you - the seller portal doesn’t currently support all data fields at this time
- Once we’ve updated your data, we’ll have you redownload the US Foods CSV to ensure everything looks correct
- If correct, hit the Confirm button in the Mable Seller Portal and your data will be submitted to US Foods.
