How to receive & fulfill orders for US Foods Direct
For the most part, fulfilling US Foods Direct orders will be similar to how regular Mable drop ship orders are fulfilled today:
- US Foods' customers will order via US Foods Direct
- Those orders will be routed to you via the Mable Seller Portal
- Accept the PO and create a FedEx shipping label using the Ship with Mable feature. Please note, US Foods orders MUST ship with Mable. You cannot use your own FedEx account.
- We'll pay you on net 30 payment terms.
Orders from US Foods Direct will appear alongside your other POs under Orders in your Mable Seller Portal with a (US FOODS)in the customer name.
Please fulfill these orders within 2 business days via FedEx, including the US Foods packing slip in your shipment. You need to use Ship with Mable to create a FedEx label, not an external FedEx account.
It is a US Foods requirement for all US Foods Direct orders that sellers use FedEx to ship orders. If FedEx will not pick up your shipments or you are unable to drop them off at a drop-off location, you may not be fit for the US Foods program.
Please also note that US Foods orders are not subject to any order minimums. US Foods does however cover all shipping costs for orders placed by US Foods retailers.
Orders that have not been accepted with tracking added by 9pm EST on the second business day will be automatically cancelled (ex. a PO received on a Monday will cancel 9pm EST Wednesday). Once an order has been cancelled it cannot be uncancelled, if there is an issue with an order you must let the Mable team know before the cancellation date and time.
If your products are perishable, US Foods asks that you only ship orders out Monday - Wednesday to avoid weekend delivery delays. Your shipping window on Mable will account for this, if you are a perishable brand you will automatically get extra fulfillment time if needed to ensure your products can ship out on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Details on your shipping window will be displayed at the top of your order in your Mable portal.
