Overview
Keep your items up-to-date so your customers know when to restock their inventory.
You can set your products as either "Out of stock" or on "Backorder."
Buyers will not be able to place orders for items that are marked "Out of stock." We highly recommend placing items on "Backorder" so you can continue to receive orders while you are waiting to resupply.
For Out of stock items:
- Within your seller portal, click on "Your Products" to view the items you've listed on Mable
- Locate your out of stock item and click on its row. Toggle the "In stock?" button to "No"
- Don't forget to click "Save" on your changes and you're all set. Buyers will now be unable to place orders for that item.
- When your item is back in stock, you can come back here to toggle the "In stock?" back to "Yes."
For Backordered items:
- Within your seller portal, click on "Your Products" to view the items you've listed on Mable
- Locate your backordered item and click on its row. Toggle the "In stock?" button to "No"
- Click on the arrow to the right of "Allow Backorder" to display the date picker and select a back-in-stock date. Note that your back-in-stock date must be within 2 weeks of today's date.
- Don't forget to click "Save" on your changes and you're all set. Both the POs you receive and the order confirmations buyers receive will state when the item is back in stock.
- Your item will be automatically listed as "In stock" again on the back-in-stock date.
Note: If you receive a PO with a backordered item, please reply to your PO or reach out to us at support@meetmable.com to coordinate shipping and invoicing for the backordered item.
