Interested in joining Emerging Brands as a Brand? Apply here.
All products are required to have GTINs, both for your retail units themselves and for any case or mastercase submitted to McLane's Emerging Brands. Cases need to have GTINs that are unique and different from the product unit GTIN, and registered to that specific case level. If you have any questions or anticipate any issues with the above please contact support@meetmable.com or inquire during your onboarding process.
Important Notice for Product Data Accuracy and Updates
To ensure a smooth onboarding and participation in our program, it’s crucial that your product data is both accurate and current. Inaccurate data, especially GTINs, could lead to significant delays or complications in the process. Should you anticipate any major changes in your product line, it is essential to inform us during the onboarding phase.
Key Points on Product GTINs:
- GTIN Importance: GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers) are a vital component of your product data. Each product must have:
- A GTIN for individual units.
- A GTIN for the case level, if you plan to sell by the case.
- Accuracy and Validation:
- All GTINs must be accurate and valid. To verify your GTINs, you can use the GS1 database.
- Labeling Requirements:
- Case-level GTINs should be visible on the outside of cases as barcodes to facilitate scanning by buyers upon receipt.
- Ideally, individual unit UPCs should not be visible on the outside of cases, but only on the units themselves.
