You may receive orders from McLane retailers for products you have listed as Out of Stock. This is because McLane retailers shopping on Emerging Brands are not currently able to view stock status.
If retailers place an order for one of your OOS products, Mable sends you that order so that 1) you know that there is demand for that product on Emerging Brands and 2) to give you the opportunity to fill that order just in case you do have some stock.
If you are not able to fill an order or part of an order due to products you marked OOS that is completely fine. This won't be marked against you as a cancellation as long as the products were correctly marked, and you process the order correctly. Please see the steps below for processing an order with OOS products.
First, open the order in your Mable seller portal. You will see the below message at the top.
If you can fulfill the full order as is, select "I will fulfill by date" and proceed as normal.
If there are any OOS items in the order you need to remove before fulfilling, OR if all items are OOS and you want to cancel the order, select the "Remove unavailable items" button, shown below.
On the next screen, make sure all of the OOS items are selected with the checkboxes. Then select "Remove & mark as OOS" at the top.
If you are removing all products from an order this will cancel the order, and will notify the McLane buyers that the order was cancelled due to Out of Stock products (and not cancelled due to late fulfillment). To do so select "Update & cancel order" at the bottom of the page.
If you are only removing some products from an order and can fulfill others, make sure you removed only the OOS products and then select "Update & fulfill order" at the bottom, and proceed to fulfill.
